I'm not sure if this makes sense or not. I may end up reshooting it. It's in response to the question, "How do I get the hoop back up from my knees?" I guess the short answer is, "Depends how it got down there." I try to explain the different ways that can happen and offer solutions. Please let me know if it makes sense. If it doesn't, I'll shoot it again. Maybe I just need to gather my thoughts.
For Aja Joy - This is a tutorial for how to do an Across the Back Roll with a Hoop. Notice the special guest star, my cat, Icky. He's a ham, that one. Happy Hooping!
This is from 7-7-7. I was supposed to dance to another song but they put in the wrong cd so I ended up dancing to this one. It's not flawless (like any of my poiformances are) and I twist up three times but it was still fun and I do love this song.
For Raven - This is a demonstration of a couple of different lifts from the waist. The opening is just a little vid of Mulder though. He was looking mighty cute and I just had to film him preening himself. Precious. Anyway, I hope this helps. With love, Caroleeena
I thought I would try to make a video to show just waist hooping, only my kitty came and laid down in my hoop. I figured, "What the heck? I'll go for it anyway." I figured he'd get up soon so I kept looking out for him to ... only he never did. Funny cat. I would have cut loose a lot more if he hadn't been there but it was pretty cute that he was. And telling about our weird little household...
I was practicing different hand movements for a workshop I'm teaching at the Hoop Convergence in April. At least, when I started this video, that was the intention. By the end, I was carried away and just jamming. And at the beginning, I'm pretty much flirting with my bird. Still, I kinda like this video. And I love this song.
This is my friend Billy Two Rivers. I talked him into playing me a song on his double flute by the beautiful Haw River where he lives. This is called The Eagle Song. My filming is not so good but the sound is great. Enjoy!
I made a lot of mistakes in this but that's alright. It was my first try at using my camera and now it's my first try at uploading. If it works, I'll probably take the video back down later and replace it with a better one.
