"Don't Box Me In - Theme From Rumblefish" - 1983 song collaboration between Stewart Copeland of the Police and singer Stan Ridgway, leader of the band Wall Of Voodoo. This was the video. In it you can see Mickey Rourke, Matt Dillon, Tom Waits, Nicolas Cage, and Dennis Hopper. A great song for a great film.
Atlanta 688 Club 1982. Wall Of Voodoo with Stan Ridgway plays the title track from their masterpiece album "Call Of The West". Vid is little dark at first but then lights up good. A great performance clip from the good old days.
Stan Ridgway just writes great songs. His first video from his solo record on his own after Wall of Voodoo. Music and film noir at its best. This song still sits in my ipod - always. Like a great movie you never saw. Or maybe did. Stan is a genius.
From the "Holiday In Dirt" collection. This one is like that movie "Sunset Blvd." Directed by Rick Fuller. Ridgway does not appear, but all the great old Hollywood images here tell the story.
This is a short web commercial for the album BARBEQUE BABYLON - the third installment in the TRILOGY OF APOCOLYPTIC DOCUMENTS by Ridgway and the band. (in otherwords...its their third album)
Ridgway's experimental noise band, recording "Big American Problem" in a studio 1996- from the first Drywall record. Pietra Wexstun on keyborads and Ivan Knight on drums. Drywall Is God.
